I grew up riding horses and competing in rodeos, even making it to the Oklahoma High School Finals in about 1977. I clearly remember Freckles Brown, who was retired from bull riding by then. He was quite the hero. I never road bulls and never wanted to, but mad respect to those crazy enough to climb on such a huge, crazy beast. Lane Frost came along a bit after me so I never knew him juch. both he and Freckles Brown, two world champing bull riders, are buried near each other in the Moutn Olivet Cemetary in Hugo.
